Michael Basta, L.C.S.W. is a Certified Gottman Method Couples Therapist who was directly trained by John and Julie Gottman, co-founders of the Gottman Institute dedicated to researching and restoring relationships. He received his graduate degree from U.C. Berkeley School of Social Welfare. He has worked in the mental health field for over twenty years with individuals, couples, families, and groups. He has also supervised interns and provided training in couples therapy to mental health professionals. He currently works for the Kaiser Santa Rosa Department of Psychiatry and maintains a successful private practice in Sonoma County, California.




Marcia Gomez, L.C.S.W. is originally from Chile. She received her masters degree from U.C.Berkeley. She has been practicing psychotherapy for over fifteen years in the United States. She has extensive training and practice in Individual Psychodynamic Therapy as well as Structural Family Therapy. She is currently working at Kaiser Psychiatry in Santa Rosa, California and has a successful private practice working exclusively with couples. Marcia was trained directly by John and Julie Gottman, co-founders of the Gottman Institute dedicated to researching and restoring relationships. Marcia worked with the Gottman's on the curriculum "Loving Couples, Loving Children" for Spanish-speaking couples. Currently, she is a consultant for the Gottman Institute Certification Program.
